「クラウド」なんとかって最近よく聞きますね。実は2種類あってCloudとCrowdは別物。カタカナにすると同じなのでややこしいですね。クラウドコンピューティング(=Cloud Computing)のクラウドは雲を意味します。インターネットなどのコンピュータネットワーク(=雲)を経由して、コンピュータ資源をサービスの形で提供するもの。クラウドファンディング(=Crowd Funding)とかクラウドソーシング(=Crowd Sourcing)のクラウドは群衆を意味します。個人や企業と不特定多数の個人をつなげる仕組みです。
I often mix up "CLOUD" and "CROWD" because they're written and pronounced in the same way in Japanese. Lately we hear cloud computing or crowd sourcing as the new ways of networking.
