日本では正月三が日休みですが、世界的には2日から平常に戻る国が多いです。祝日なのは元日だけ。ちなみに、年末もしっかり31日まで。半日で終わる会社も多いかな。
If you work in Japan, you'll get several days off around new year's. Either 28th or 29th is the last day of the year and the first working day of the new year's is either 4th or 5th. No Christmas holidays though.
