English version comes after Japanese.
芸能人のことをよく「タレント」と呼びますが、英語の意味は「才能」とか「才能・手腕のある人」のことなので、芸能人とは限りませんし、英語では芸能人のことを「タレント」とは呼びません。「America's got talent」とかスター発掘番組がありますね。才能のある人を探しているわけです。
Japanese people call people on TV shows "talent" but it's sad to say that those people often have no talent. "Talent" is one of the English words being used in our daily conversation with a slightly wrong meaning.
