KATSUDON seems popular among foreign people. I used to see the company president from Germany ordered KATSUDON while his Japanese subordinates ordered SOBA (noodles) if we ordered dinner during overtime work. I guess they like soy-sauce based sweet sauce on top of fried pork meat. The photo shows the fast food KATSUDON place "KATSUYA" where you can eat a bowl of KATSUDON for 529yen (about US$4.80).

だいぶ前から「かつ丼って外国人に人気だなぁ」って思ってました。むか～し、会社で出前取ると日本人がざるそば取ってる中でドイツ人の社長はかつ丼。甘いタレが好きなのかな。最近「かつや」っていうかつ丼のファストフードが増えてますね。500円ぐらいで気軽にかつ丼食べられるし、渋谷・新宿・秋葉原など都心にも店があるから外国からのお客様にぜひお勧めしたい。
