私の大好物の1つ、Rojak。読み方は「ろじゃ」 って感じでKの音が消えてる。日本の物に例えようがない食べ物で、おかずなんだかデザートなんだか不思議。きゅうり、もやし、パイナップル、ターニップ、中華風揚げパンのざく切りに甘いソースと粉状のピーナッツがかかっています。インド・マレーシア・インドネシアなどでそれぞれのバージョンがあるらしく中身も違ったり甘いソースも店によって特製なので結構味が違う。1皿4ドルぐらいからあるのでフードコートやホーカーで見つけたらお試しください。
One of my favorite Singapore food, ROJAK. It's hard to pick up a Japanese food for comparison. Should I eat with rice or is it a dessert? An ordinary Rojak consists of chunks of cucumber, pineapple, turnip, Yutiyao, and bean sprout with sweet sauce and crashed peanuts on top. I understand there're several different types of Rojak in India, Malaysia, Indonesia. The sweet sauce is specially made by each food stole. I recommend you try Rojak if you go to food court or hawker. The price starts from S$4.00 or so.
